Telecom Services Disrupted in Sindh After Torrential Rains
Torrential rains across Sindh, especially in Karachi, caused major disruptions to telecommunications, leaving thousands without mobile service. According to sources from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), more than 2,500 telecom towers went offline due to the storm.
PTA teams quickly initiated restoration work, successfully reactivating 1,800 towers within 24 hours. Officials confirmed that mobile and internet services have been restored in most areas of Karachi. The outages were mainly triggered by power failures and hardware damage from the heavy rainfall.
