Realme C55 is a new smartphone in India that belongs to the budget-midrange category and boasts a unique feature called Mini Capsule, which was inspired by Apple’s Dynamic Island, which is a feature we haven’t seen on any other smartphone. Taking a closer look at the device and understanding its features, let’s have a closer look at this feature.

Specs of the Realme C55

With its impressive features including a display of 6.52-inch LCD with Full HD+ resolution, a refresh rate of 90Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz, the Realme C55 smartphone offers impressive performance for the price. A number of other features of the phone include a high peak brightness of 680 Nits, a punch-hole notch for a clear view of the screen, as well as a front-facing camera that is placed within the notch.

With its octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor and Mali G52 graphics unit, the Realme C55 comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by using virtual RAM. A Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13 runs on the device. Mini Capsule is a feature that is similar in concept to Apple’s Dynamic Island, which is found on the iPhone 14 Pro series of smartphones. This device features a dual-rear camera setup with a 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an LED flash, along with an 8MP front camera that is equipped with a wide-angle lens. Additionally, this device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging as well as a fingerprint scanner that is mounted on the side.

There are two colors of the Realme C55 to choose from, Sunshower and Rainy Night, and it weighs 189.5 grams and is around 7.89mm thick. A 3.5mm audio jack is included in the package as well as a dedicated slot for microSD cards.

Pricing & availability

It has been reported that the Realme C55 in India will cost Rs 10,999 for the variant with 4GB + 64GB of RAM, and will cost Rs 11,999 for the variant with 6GB + 64GB of RAM and Rs 13,999 for the variant with 8GB + 128GB of RAM. There is a deal being offered by Realme to customers under its partnership with ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank that would give them a discount of up to Rs 1000 on the purchase of the Realme C55 smartphone.

In order to launch the Realme C55 in India, Flipkart and the Realme Store will be the exclusive retailers for the device. It is also possible to pre-order the device starting at 6:30 p.m. today (March 21st).
