It is official that Huawei phones has been added on the Embargo list by Trump’s administration and since then there users have been doubtful if the Chinese tech giant will be able to give out Android updates. Now in the worst case scenarioif both the US and Chinese government fail to reach an suitable agreement, Google will have no choice but to cancel all Android licenses in the wake of Trump’s ban, which has already adversely affected Huawei’s reputation in the market.

So far some analysts are very doubtful if Huawei will be able to upgrade devices to EMUI 10 but now that Google has already given Huawei a pre-release source code, the company has started testing its custom Android skin to counter the affects of the Google Software.

In accordancewith the name of the pre-release firmware, XDA developer, believes that this version will be called EMUI 10. We have not yet seen any significant  changes in the interface visually, however, Android Q’s new permission Controls are prettyvisible. A beta version of the EMUI 10 is currently available for testing.

Now the list whichare in line to receive the new update hasn’t been announced but media reports have listed the following smartphones in the list of devices which they think will receive the new update.

  11. Huawei P20 Pro

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro was removed from the list of smartphones in the Android Q beta program but was reinstated last month.

The company will have to push on ahead with its HongMeng OS’s development to ensure timely support for its phones.
