A fact-finding committee led by an Additional District Magistrate found that cooking oils and other inflammatory materials caused the fire to spread rapidly.

Irfan Nawaz Memon, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad, ordered the building to be sealed indefinitely following the incident.

According to Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, everyone was safely evacuated from the building.
