Earlier today, Apple released a firmware update for the AirTag 2A36 that was higher than the firmware version 2A24e released by Apple in November. There hasn’t been an official changelog released by Apple for this update yet.

The process of updating the AirTag is also very simple and it will automatically update once you connect it to your iPhone, but you cannot push out a manual update once you have connected it to the device. You can ensure that the firmware update happens by putting your AirTag within range of your iPhone and waiting for it to automatically download the firmware update to your device when it is ready.
