Rumors surrounding the US tech giants Apple on a possible foldable iPhone have been going around for quite some time now and in recent times we have seen the pace of those rumors accelerate which may mean that an announcement may soon be made by the company, however, recent rumors have suggested that Apple are considering replacing their iPads with their new creation. . The report from MyDrivers has claimed that the upcoming foldable iPhone will replace the iPad Mini and will also carry support for stylus, giving users a feel for a portable computer on their hands as well.

In addition, the rumor has also suggested that the display of the device may be sized anywhere between 7.3 and 7.6-inches diagonally, however, iy will feature a very tall aspect ratio. This foldable iPhone also feature a clamshell form factor which is very similar to the one we saw on the Galaxy Z Flip and as per in accordance with the report by MyDrivers, the new device is predicted to launch in September 2022 so users will have to wait quite some time before they can hold the foldable smartphone in their hands. It is also worth noting here that a previous report from another source claimed a 2023 release date instead, which just adds to mystery as to when Apple will introduce a foldable phone.

There is a heavy chance that the report could well be a bit far-fetched as the foldable iPhone is unlikely to replace the iPad Mini given the substantial price difference. For one thing, the new foldable iPhone would be a first-of-its-kind handset which means that the device will carry with it a heavy price tag, whereas the iPad Mini is supposed to be an affordable version of the main iPad lineup. Knowing Apple however, chances are that the company may phase out the iPad Mini in the future for some other reason.
