In a rather desperate attempt to get the spotlight, PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto has claimed that Government wants to take away Karachi from PPP which have had a massive influence in the politics of Karachi for as long as we can remember. What he failed to identify was the lack of a proper provisional plan in the biggest city of Pakistan that had led to loss of lives and Karachi being one of the most unliveable cities in the world!

Bilawal Bhutto has been making bold claims comparing the govt’s plan to uplift Karachi with PM Modi’s attempt to takeover Kashmir. His impressively worded speeches are hollow in their implementation as the latest monsoon season recognized the faults of the people in trusting PPP to solve problems as all that they did was to play the blame game and unsurprisingly Bilawal was absent on all such matters, reassuring our suspicions of his lack of political authority.

This all started with Law Minister Farogh Naseem issuing a statement of govt plans to takeover administrative affairs of Karachi

After getting approval of the cabinet, the provision will be exercised. In case of any resistance shown by the provincial government, we will approach the Supreme Court under Article 184(1) of the Constitution to seek a directive in this regard. If the province still shows reluctance, we will file a contempt petition in the SC

This was instantly opposed by Bilawal Bhutto who again makes a scene with his words

You try to build a narrative against [Indian Prime Minister Narendra] Modi, saying that he unconstitutionally captured occupied Kashmir, and at the same time you try to occupy Karachi. This is bizzare,” Bilawal said in his press conference. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan, “who has vowed to protect human rights in [occupied] Kashmir, has ripped apart democratic rights of the people of Pakistan.

“You want to run Karachi from Islamabad?

This country has already been broken in the past when Islamabad has tried to control the state. It’s not like those people were less patriotic than you or me […] If PPP and other like-minded parties don’t stand up, tomorrow, separate Sindhi and Pashtun states might be formed,Come to your senses! The Islamic democratic system is what has kept this country together

Politics sure takes full advantage of the blindness of party supporters as they are thrown into a whirlwind of endless political fueds none of which comes close to affecting a certain place in a positive way, rather makes it all worse. A fine example has now presented itself in Karachi.
