At least eight people were killed and in excess of 110 injured in a blast on Tuesday morning at the Jamia Zuberia Madrasa in Peshawar’s Dir Colony. 

As per Lady Reading Hospital representative Mohammad Asim, four of the expired were understudies between the ages of 20 to 25. 

“The impact occurred in the madressah during a Quran class. Somebody took a sack inside [with explosives],” Waqar Azim, a senior police official, told AFP. 

Mohammad Ali Gandapur, another senior police official, affirmed the subtleties. He said two educators were among the injured. 

Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Mansoor Aman affirmed the blast, saying that underlying reports propose an ad libbed dangerous gadget (IED) was utilized in the blast. “Five kgs of explosives were utilized in the impact.”

As per reports, the injured have likewise been taken to Khyber Teaching Hospital, Hayatabad Medical Complex and Naseerullah Khan Babar Hospital. As indicated by officials from the emergency clinics, 72 injured were taken to LRH, two each to KTH and HMC and 37 to Naseerullah Khan Babar Hospital. 

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra visited the site of the impact. Addressing correspondents, he said that the attention was on giving the injured the most ideal treatment to build their odds of recuperation.
