CDA Breaks All Previous Records in 3-Day Auction of Plots

After a three-day auction, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) completed the sale of 42 plots on Thursday, generating an impressive total of Rs. 41 billion through the sale of 42 plots.

The CDA has managed to set a new record with this auction in spite of the ongoing crisis in the country’s economy. During the previous auction, held during the amnesty scheme of 2021, the CDA was able to raise Rs. 37 billion through the auction.

There is no doubt, however, that the agency had made a record in the recent auction in which it had fetched nearly 41 billion rupees, a significant increase over its previous total.

It is reported that in an official statement, a senior CDA official has said that as part of the three-day auction, CDA has sold 42 plots of various sizes for a total of Rs. 40.9 billion, which is the highest ever number.

As stated by the official, the success of the auction was a result of the collaborative efforts of the teams within the estate, planning, and finance departments.

As a result of the CDA’s Planning Wing being able to supply plots in desirable locations with favorable planning parameters, which were then effectively marketed by the Estate Wing, he gave CDA’s Planning Wing full credit for this achievement. Consequently, the auction was able to achieve impressive results as a result of these factors.

Note here that the CDA had initially projected to generate Rs. 20 billion from the three-day auction, but to its surprise, the event received an overwhelming response from investors, resulting in a final total of Rs. 41 billion.
