China could surpass the US soon

China is currently in the process of aggressively expanding a large number of fields such as artifical intelligence, 5G networking, semiconductors and even more and now, it appears that the country will in fact be overtaking the US in 21st century technologies in just a decade or so.

The new makes way courtesy of a recent report which has came in from Harvard. The report actually highlights that “China’s rapid rise to challenge US dominance of technology’s commanding heights has captured America’s attention.” It also then further goes on to add that in some areas China has already become number one while on other trajectories, it will soon overtake the US and become number one.

The report also then further goes on to emphasize on the very realistic responsibility that China might soon become the world’s top economic and technological power. As of the current moment in time, the Asian country has already dethroned the US to become the world’s top high tech manufacturer. The nation ended up producing more than 250 million computers, 25 million cars and also a whopping 1.5 billion smartphones last year alone, all of course in accordance with the report from Harvard.

In October of this year, US intelligence officials even took the liberty of warning American tech firms about working with their Chinese counterparts (and of course by that extension, the country as well) – all of which took place especially in the fields of quantum computing, bioscience and also semiconductors and also autonomous systems. The report goes on to conclude that “China is catching up and in some cases, has already overtaken America. Unlike prior technological revolutions that took place when the nation was still a poor country, China meteoric rise has provided it with the funds and manpower to potentially lead this field.”
