Compared to Mitchell Starc, Shaheen has a better yorker: Kane Williamson

Known for his exceptional skills with the new ball, Shaheen Afridi is considered a top pacer in the modern era. Unplayable yorkers and first over wickets are his specialties.

Kane Williamson, the New Zealand all-format captain, rated the 22-year-old Pakistani pacer as harder to play against than Mitchell Starc, the Australian pacer.

A leg injury sustained earlier this year in Galle prevented Shaheen from playing the entire limited-overs season.

During the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, he took 11 wickets in seven matches, including four against Bangladesh and two against each of South Africa and New Zealand.

In the final game against England, the speedster suffered a knee injury, forcing him to miss the upcoming three-match Test series against England at home.
