Did HEC cancel Law-GAT?

The notification states, in more detail, that the annual meeting of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) was held on Saturday 29 October, according to details in the notification. On 23 October, a meeting was held to discuss irregularities in the Law GAT held the previous day.

It has been unanimously decided by the PBC that Law-GAT will be canceled due to the use of mobile phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices in Law-GAT. Since the HEC has stopped announcing the final results of Law-GAT, the PBC has made a decision that it will cancel Law-GAT.

However, the notification, which was supposed to be a fake, has been revealed as fictitious as the HEC has issued a statement saying that the recently conducted Law-GAT is valid and that the results will be released as soon as possible.

According to the official statement of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), a false letter referring to the cancellation of the Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law-GAT) is circulating on social media and in the WhatsApp groups of law students.
