DigiSkills is now accepting free registrations from interested youth. If you’re a freelancer or want to become a freelancer to earn by your own then here is the good chance for you as, DigiSkills (Government-backed program) has just opened up the to get the registrations for trainees.

The objective behind launching this initiative is to train at least 1M youth for freelancing. The program was officially launched by the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the month of February with the aim to train at least 1M youth with digital skills to facilitate them about how to earn through freelancing platforms.

So, all people who are really interested in becoming the part of this program, can now register to enroll in a range of courses available to train them with online earning.

The best thing about the program is most of the skills being taught there are the skills of this era and up-to-date. Moreover, DigiSkills program offers all online courses free of cost.”

Trainees can select two courses at the maximum and between the two courses, “freelancing” course is compulsory and the other course can be chosen according to the choice of trainee.

The time period of the each program is 3 months. The freelancing course will be taught by the top freelancer on Guru, Hisham Sarwar.  Not to know, Hisham has fifteen years experience of freelancing.

The course will be offered as video-based lessons and trainees will be evaluated through regular quizzes.

In this regard, the Government has partnered with Virtual University which will assist the DigiSkills platform reach every corner of the country.

Minister of IT, Anusha Rehman was also present at the launch event, and said,

“DigiSkills program is an important endeavor of the Ministry that will create online employment opportunities to enable youth to earn 200 to 300 dollars per month.”

She believes that the program has the potential to increase the country’s exports to over $10 billion in a few years.

However, starting date of the courses is still to be announced, but for now registrations are open and interested people can get themselves enrolled.
