The designs for both the Huawei P30 and the Huawei P30 Pro were revealed by Roland Quandt – who happens to be a highly regarded tipster, doing so through leaked renders in the previous week or so. Both the phones were unveiled at an event held on the 26th of March in Paris, France. Now today, Roland has claimed that both the phones are set to feature with Flat-cut surfaces on both the top and bottom, and it is these surfaces which will allow both the phones to stand upright on surfaces which happens to be smooth.
Most of the flagship smartphones that are present right now in the market happen to have slightly curved upper and lower edges, and due to this, such phones don’t have the capabilities to stand upright. And when you think about it, a phone standing upright isn’t just for showing off, as it will be a useful feature when you want the phone to stand on its own to take selfies or night shots – hindering the use of a tripod in the process.

The P30 Pro is expected to feature with a huge 6.5-inch curved OLED screen while on the other hand, the P30 is set to feature with a 6.1-inch flat OLED display. Both the displays are set to feature with waterdrop-style notches, while the back of the P30 Pro is set to feature with a quad camera setup. The speculation surrounding the fourth sensor on the P30 Pro suggests that it could be a 3D ToF sensor, while the P30 is set to feature with a triple camera setup. Both the phones are set to feature with In-display fingerprint scanners.
Flat-cut edges for both the Huawei P30 and the P30 Pro
Both the phones are set to be powered by the Kirin 980 chipset. The P30 is expected to carry support for 22.5W fast charging while on the other hand, the P30 Pro may feature with the support for 40W rapid charging technology. The P30 will have the inclusion of a headphone jack, the same however, cannot be said about the P30 Pro.
The Huawei P30 Lite is also expected to be announced soon.
