Atif Nawaz Warriach, the deputy commissioner of the Corporate Tax Office (CTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue, was transferred on Thursday based on allegations on social media that he had leaked the tax information of the former Chief of Arms Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa and his immediate family members.

The Deputy Commissioners, CTO Atif Nawaz Warriach and Zahoor Ahmad, directed the report to the FBR admin team. This is with effect immediately and until further instructions are received.

The officers, as mentioned above, were instructed to relinquish or assume charge following notification. They did this by utilizing the online HRMS system made available to FBR, or using their IJP credentials, following notification.
Finance Minister Tariq Pasha has tasked SAPM on Revenue to investigate this matter and submit a report within 24 hours.
