As we have reported earlier, the federal government is planning the establishment of an IT Park in the federal capital and now the announcement has been made for the project to be completed by 2020.

As the govt of Pakistan is doing as much can be done to digitalize the country. Earlier in the month of March, the govt signed a loan agreement with the Exim Bank of South Korea which will be providing necessary funds for the establishment of the project. The project will cost around 10 billion Pak Rupees.

State of The Art IT Park will spread over an area of 47.7 acres of land and it will be supporting small and medium  Pakistani  IT companies. Ministry of IT is being said to believe that this project will play an important role in facilitating the development of IT in Pakistan.

 The construction of the IT Park will be done in two phases and expectedly the work will be completed on 14.9 acres of land. The government has also planned to start construction of IT Park in Lahore and Karachi very soon, where the former is already hosting one such fine establishment namely Arfa Kareem Software Technology Park.

Anusha Rehman, Minister of IT  Previously  revealed that she is not satisfied with the IT Parks that are present in the country. With the project of  federal government, Anusha Rahman insisted that people will be getting a true IT park in their country.

With this project, the government aims to create 5000 IT jobs for the graduates in Pakistan.
