It is with great pleasure that we announce the dates for the acceptance of applications for the upcoming Hajj in 2023 by the federal government.
During an official press conference that was held after the approval of the Hajj Policy 2023 by the Federal Cabinet, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, revealed the dates.
In accordance with the details, the process for submitting Hajj applications will begin on the 16th of March, Thursday, and will end on the 31st of March, Friday. In the first week of April, the Hajj application lottery will be held for those who have applied for the pilgrimage.
It is therefore important that interested candidates keep the necessary documents ready beforehand in order to avoid any inconvenience in the future.

There is no doubt that the global recession has had a negative impact on both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. According to the government scheme, the cost of Hajj under the scheme has risen by Rs. 3 lacs due to the depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee.
There has also been approval for a sponsorship scheme, according to the Minister. Assuming the full quota of the scheme is utilized, then $194 million will be provided from the $284 million required for the successful implementation of the Hajj scheme for this year. As a result, the Finance Ministry has assured that the remainder of the costs will be covered.
