The disorderly scene unfolded to a day after tens of thousands of pro-Trump Rioters gathered in Washington to protest the results of the 2020 election.

Trump continues to assert, without proof, the presidential elections had been stolen from him. He encouraged his fans to attend rallies contesting the election outcomes and talked on Wednesday minutes before rioters violated the Capitol. “We shall never stop trying. We’ll never concede. It does not occur. You do not concede whenever there’s thieving included,” he said shortly before the mob started moving toward the barricades.

Soon after two p.m., Capitol Police ordered all employees, reporters and neighboring senators in the Senate chamber, which had been sealed away and place on lock down. Within the House room, safety officers drew weapons following rioters broke the windows on the room’s door. Individuals inside rushed for pay as reports surfaced that shots have been fired.
