Huawei already launched its P-series flagship smartphones earlier in the year and now looks set to launch the Mate 30 series smartphones – another one of the company’s flagship series of devices. The company is gearing up for the launch of the devices despite the fact that it has been facing many difficulties due to the US ban taking effect not so long ago.

Like every year, Huawei will launch multiple models under its Mate 30 series : with the standard Huawei Mate 30, the more powerful Mate 30 Pro and a cheaper model amongst the three in the Mate 30 Lite.

The company is also expected to keep up with the trend that it has set in recent years by launching the Mate 30 Lite model earlier than the two other models. The reports surrounding the devices also go on to state that the Mate 30 Lite will actually be launched in China with a different name.

As far as the specifications of the Mate 30 Lite go, the reports indicate that the device will feature with Huawei’s very own HiSilicon Kirin 810 Octa-core processor.

It is coupled with Mali-G52 GPU for graphics processing and the new Huawei DaVinci architecture NPU for AI processing.

The device is also expected to feature with a full-screen display coming with a punch-hole design that will house a front facing camera of 24MP. The previous reports have also indicated that the phone could feature with a 6.4-inch IPS display with 2310 x 1080 pixels screen resolution.

On the back of the phone is rumored to be a quad-camera setup. The device is also set to feature with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and could feature with two variants in mind – one of them coming with 6 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of internal storage while the other coming with 8 gigs of RAM and the same amount of storage.

Reports have also made the indication that the smartphone will be powered by a 4000mAh battery which will also come with the support for 20W fast charging. The launch date for the device is not confirmed just yet, though the Mate 30 series is expected to go official in either September or October.
