While Huawei’s proprietary Hongmeng (Harmony) OS won’t be seeing the light of day with regards to smartphones any time soon, the Chinese manufacturer though is indeed rapidly expanding the use cases. A reliable source has now recently gone on to indicate that Huawei is about to release a car smart screen, equipped with Hongmeng OS system.
Just last year, Huawei’s consumer business CEO in Yu Chengdong claimed that the company’s smart screen strategy goes on to cover four cases : home, office, car and sports. Just last month, Huawei Electric Technology Co. Ltd was subject to being established with a registered capital of 250 million yuan with Huawei holding 100 percent shares in it. The company’s business scope goes on to include engineering as well as technology research and test development; manufacture and sales of smart car equipment.
When this year’s Huawei Developer Conference 2020 was taking place, the Chinese manufacturer actually proceeded on to hold the HMS for Car Smart Mobility Sub-forum with the theme of “Exploring a Better Digital Car Life,” while it also went on and introduced HMS for Car’s new smart car cloud service solution. It has also been said that the company is also in fact working with car manufacturers such as both Volvo as well as Hongqi, as well as Beep partners including the likes of Liebili, Tongcheng Travel, Deep Love Listening, and Jidou gave speeches.
The Chinese company has also gone on to claim that HMS for car also has the capabilities to realize the interconnection as well as intercommunication with respect to mobile phones, watches, speakers, smart screens and also other devices that happen to be there with car data and has also said that it will try and create a full-scene smart travel experience.
