It is now being claimed that Chinese manufacturer Huawei will actually be focusing on both HarmonyOS as well as openEuler operating systems at the same time. While the former will indeed be used in smart terminals, IoT terminals as well as industrial terminals, openEuler will be used in servers, edge computing and also cloud infrastructure.

Both the operating systems will indeed be open-source. This will be made the case in an eccfoy to increase the adoption as well as solve the problem of China not having an OS of its own so as to use in basic technology – as per what Huawei’s rotating chairman told reporters in an interview which was held on Friday.

The openEuler program was actually first announced all the way back in 2019 and Huawei is now gearing up towards the launch of new open-source openEuler OS. The move of course also represents what Huawei’s efforts happen to be focused on : transforming itself from a components manufacturer to that of a service provider amid the US ban.

The Chinese brand has also announced 11 new-scenario based solutions for the sake of its customers that end up spanning public services, transportation, banking, energy, and also of course manufacturing.
