Imran Khan is not only the PM of Pakistan but a leader as well. After taking the power, he is continuously trying to save the drowning boat of the nation. It’s been just 60 days since he swung into power and now he made his way into the list of ‘Most Influential Muslim Leaders’ for 2019.

Yes! In the list of Muslim Rulers and Politicians Khan ranked 15th and in the list of overall Muslim Leaders he ranked 29th for the year 2019.

As per the book, the objective of this ranking is to found the influence some Muslims have on Muslim Ummah or behalf of Ummah.

The first place in the list of “Most Influential Muslim Leaders” for 2019 has been taken by the Turkish leader Recap Tayyip Erdogan followed by Saudi King Shah Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud and King Abdullah II of Jordan, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

It is important to mention here that top three positions in both categories were captured by above mentioned leaders.

The list is prepared every year by, Jordan-based Royal Islamic Studies Centre Since 2009. Now, the centre has published its 10th edition for the year 2019 this month.

Pakistanis on the List

On the other hand, apart from PM Khan, three other Pakistani religious personalities have also scored the place in the Muslim Leaders’ list  including:

  • Haji Muhammad Abdul-Wahhab, the emir of Tablighi Jamaat got the 14th postion the list
  • Justice (retd) Sheikh Muhammad Taqi Usmani secured spot 6th position
  • Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel is placed on 40th position of the list

The list contained influential leaders from all across Muslim world and other well-known names in the list include:

  • King Mohammed VI of Morocco
  • Dr Ahmed Mohammed Al-Tayyeb of Al Azhar
  • Sheikh Salman Al Ouda of Saudi Arabia
  • Sayyid Ali Hussein of Najaf Iraq
  • Ali Khamenei Supreme Leader of Iran
  • Sultan Qaboos of Oman
  • Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman
  • Emir Shaikh Tamim bin Hamid Al-Thani, Emir of Qatar
  • Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
  • President of Indonesia Joko Widodo
  • President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari
  • Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah Secretary General of Hezbollah
