The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced an extension for the payment and submission deadlines of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Returns for the tax period of May 2024.
On Saturday, the FBR issued instructions to the field formations regarding this extension.

In light of the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, the FBR has decided to extend the deadlines as follows:
- The deadline for the payment of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Duty (FED), originally set for June 15, 2024, has been extended to June 20, 2024.
- The deadline for the submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Returns, originally set for June 18, 2024, has been extended to June 24, 2024.
