As a result of Epic’s successful beta launch, the RealityScan app is now available for free download on iOS after passing a successful beta test. In case you are not familiar with this app, it is capable of scanning real-life objects and transforming them into 3D models which can be used for video games or other projects. In this app, you will be able to recreate objects from around the world without constructing them from the ground up.
There is a new app from Epic that is a part of their increasing suite of tools that are designed to simplify the process of creating 3D objects. As part of their announcement, the company also announced that Unreal Engine will be used in half of the company’s next-generation titles.

It is quite likely that many people might be wondering how this app scans projects and then converts them into 3D models. Therefore, it is necessary to take several pictures of an object from various angles in order to scan it in the app. The RealityScan App displays each of the pictures taken while the user is moving around the project and taking pictures in augmented reality as they take the photos. The heat map also shows a list of the projects that need more coverage in order to be considered for funding.
User-friendly, this application is easy to use. In addition, RealityScan is currently available for iPhones and iPads, however, the company has announced that its Android version will be available in early 2023 once the iOS version is available.
To help developers create new games, Epic Games has developed MetaHuman Creator, which is another platform similar to RealityScan for helping developers create new games.
