A new update is now rolling out for both the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T. This update will bring the security patch of January for both the flagship devices coming from the Chinese brand.
The update comes in the form of the OxygenOS 9.0.4 to the OnePlus 6. On the other hand, seeing as to the fact that the OnePlus 6T is more recent – the phone gets the update as the OxygenOS 9.0.12. The update does not only bring along the security patch, but also fixes bugs, along with the improvement of system performance. Not to forget the fact that the update also brings deep integration with Google Duo plus optimizations for the display of the OnePlus 6T.

There is nothing new in the fact that this update too, much like the past, is rolling out in an incremental fashion – and if it hasn’t actually hit your device just yet, you should be looking for it over the next few days. And in the case that you just cannot wait for the update, some users have stated thatif you change your VPN to that of either Germany or Canada – this would actually end up bringing the update for you. The size for the update is a mere 138MB for the OnePlus 6T, while it would set the users of OnePlus 6 back by 143MB.
