Honor’s upcoming flagship smartphones for this year will be the Honor V30 and the V30 Pro 5G. At first, the rumors did indeed suggest that the upcoming flagship models will feature with Hilisilicon’s best chipset, however, the latest news coming through in official channels suggests that the V30 will be featuring with the Kirin 990 5G processor. When the launch finally takes place, it will be the very first 5G smartphone from the company.

Now that it has been officially confirmed, one would have to expect that both the V30 and the V30 Pro 5G models will also be quite expensive. The latest speculation consists of price rumors, with the whispers stating that the V30 will be priced at $710. If this does indeed turn out to be true, then it will be in direct competition with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro when taking into consideration the aspect of price.

The previous rumors about the V30 series stated that it will feature with a 60MP quad camera setup on the rear, this will be even more capable than what the 48MP camera setup of the Mate 30 can offer.

It’s safe to assume though that the main highlight that the device’s camera setup consists of may be the Matrix algorithm. As for now, we don’t exactly know too much about the Matrix camera itself. However, there are suggestions that it could consist of a similar technology to the one we saw on the Mate 30 Pro – which possessed the luxury of Cine camera. If this does turn out to be true, then it may prove out to be a very exciting feature.

On the battery regard, reports previously have suggested that the device could feature with a 4200mAh battery, along with the presence of 40W fast charging – much like the Mate 30 Pro 5G.
