Just when you thought you had seen it all in the world of newly designed displays for smartphones, LG an unlikely competitor has come up with a pretty innovative idea and if implemented it could be a pretty attractive buy. Instead of making their own foldable device with  a bendable or dual display like their competitors, LG had released something out of the ordinary, the company has just launched a new 5G phone which has a rotating display through a swivel function. The device dubbed as the “LG Wing” was announced through a virtual announcement earlier this week and the phone maker has now teased another smartphone which will have an “extendable display.”

The teaser footage of the phone does not give us information to work with over here, the phone only appeared for a few seconds in a darkened image, but it clearly showed us a pull-out chin which extends the display of the device, judging by what we saw at least. This particular innovation goes to show that LG are going ahead with their Explorer Project which has the basic aim to bring their users uniquely designed smartphones, second to none.

At the end of the teaser we see a smartphone silhouette fully extending into one single large display before glowing and morphing into the words “Hold your Breath”. After that, the LG Explorer Project logo shows until the video ends, leaving users in a tight cliffhanger. Now considering the fact that LG did not show us too much of the device but rather only glimpses and the fact that the company is yet to make an official comment on this particular subject, it shows that the company is trying not to focus to much on the extendable display phone and take away the LG Wing’s glory. Whatever the case, the new project shows us one of the many unique devices to come as part of LG’s Explorer Project in the possible future.
