Xiaomi, along with other Chinese companies have made it a competition among themselves about who gets the most megapixels in their phones and currently, that competition is being won by Xiaomi, with an incoming monster!
Hosting a penta-camera to accommodate 108MP is just absurd! It doesn’t go any bold way apart from that and keeps thing similar to what they are doing already, the design has the similar glass hue at the back and a 6.47-inch AMOLED panel at the front. The screen is FHD+, which seems disappointing as how common 4k displays have become, but in their defence, the majority of the content out there stays in 1080p and if that cuts costs, then why not.
Under the hood, it’s a very strange decision, one that shows Xiaomi’s strategy of using this phone as an experimental one to see how the consumer responds to the device. The processor is a mid-tier Snapdragon 730G which will be accompanied by 6 or 8GB RAM and a decent 128GB or 256GB onboard storage. The software is as expected with MIUI running atop Android 9.0 PIE here.
Now, lets finally get to the point. The cameras! The penta-sensor camera! It all starts with a bang with a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor, a result of a collaboration between Samsung and Xiaomi. Mi CC9 Pro’s premium edition is the first smartphone ever to feature an F/1.7 8P lens. The basic variant, on the other hand, comes with a simple F/1.7 lens. Along with the 108 MP sensor, the smartphone also features a 1/1.33-inch sensor for providing detailed images and unprecedented low-light performance.
The secondary sensors are not secondary at all. A 5MP and 12MP telephoto with OIS, 5X OPTICAL ZOOM and 50X zoom capabilities! To top it all off is a 20MP ultra wide with 117 degrees FOV and a tiny 2MP for close-up images.

The battery is not compromised either with a 5260MAH battery with 30W PD charging topping up the entire battery in 65minutes!
