Considering the fact that the company has the tendency to deliver great value for money along with a gesture-driver user interface way before Android at large – one might argue, and rightfully so, that Meizu might just be one of the most underrated smartphone brands in the market right now. The latest move in the market from the company sees the launch of its latest flagship smartphone – the Meizu 16s.

The phone comes as a flagship one, and like you’d expect from any flagship in 2019, it features with the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset, either 6 or 8 gigs of RAM, a 6.2-inch full HD+ AMOLED display that also happens to features with super-thin bezels, and a fingerprint sensor inside the screen to top it all off. On the internal side of things, the phone offers 128 gigs of internal storage, and while there is the option for 256 gigs of internal storage too, however, this option is only available in China. Unfortunately enough though, there is no room for expansion via the microSD card.

The phone offers a 3600mAh battery, and even features with 24 watt fast charging. While this might not be as fast as Huawei or Xiaomi, it certainly is impressive and offers a good amount of charge in a rather short period of time.

The phone also offers pretty impressive cameras :as the rear side of the phone features with a 48MP f/1.7 main camera with optical image stabilization. This is quite impressive considering the fact that the likes of the Honor View 20 and the Redmi Note 7 series don’t offer OIS with their 48MP shooters. There also happens to be a 20MP f/2.6 secondary camera for 3x lossless zoom shots.

The phone Meizu 16s will be available in three colors : Carbon Black, Pearl White and Phantom Blue. The starting price for the phone will be $476 – which will be for the variant coming with 6 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of internal storage. As far as the variant with 8 gigs of RAM and 128 gigs of storage is concerned – this will set you back $520. The most premium variant, coming in with 8 gigs of RAM and 256 gigs of storage will set buyers back by $595.
