This decline can be attributed to the new tax policy on imports of mobiles and that on the carry-on from overseas Pakistani’s who are coming back with phones to the country, they now have to pay an exclusive duty fee on bringing in phones in to Pakistan, this duty is quite heavy and sometimes very hard to pay, hence causing declines and who can forget that the new DIRBS has really helped in lowering smuggling.
