Motorola has just recently announced that the update to the latest software version by Google – the Android 9 Pie is now subject to being rolled out currently to all Motorola One devices all over the globe. So, if you indeed happen to be the owner of a Motorola One device, you should be seeing the OTA notification very soon, in the near future.

Unfortunately enough, there is no indication that the update would come to the users of the Motorola One based in the United States of America, since the software updates page at Motorola’s official site does not happen to list the phone. As a result of this, it could be possible that no confirmation would come from users of the phone based in the states. As far as other countries go, specifically, the United Kingdom – there was the mention in the software updates page that the Android Pie is coming to the UK for all the users having the Motorola One, however, there was no mention of the date, nor a link to download the software manually.

With the assumption that the particular device is set to receive the update based on a global scale, it would become the first Motorola phone to receive the update globally. For now though, there is a country where the Motorola One already has the luxury of Pie – in India.

While Motorola has made quite the statements that there would be a handful amount of devices from the company that will be eligible for the update, none of these devices have actually gone on to receive the update globally yet, and this also includes Motorola’s other Android One device – the Moto X4 Android One edition. We can assume though that because the update for the Motorola One Power isn’t too far away, the update to the Moto X4 too wouldn’t be too far off – we can hope, right?
