Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah has announced his departure from the Quetta Gladiators franchise ahead of the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Sources indicate that after a five-year stint with the franchise, Naseem Shah has opted to part ways. Notably, he joined Quetta Gladiators in 2019 and made a significant impact in the last PSL season, securing a remarkable 5-wicket haul. Although initially signed by Quetta in PSL 4, an injury prevented his participation.
The 20-year-old speedster is now poised for the drafting or trading process, with both Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi expressing interest in acquiring his services.
It’s worth noting that Naseem Shah recently faced an injury setback during the Asia Cup, causing him to miss the Cricket World Cup 2023 as well. The uncertainty remains regarding his fitness for the ninth edition of the PSL. Despite this setback, there are strong indications that Naseem Shah may find a new home in Peshawar Zalmi for the upcoming PSL season. This development is anticipated to bring excitement to both Peshawar Zalmi fans and management, eagerly looking forward to his contributions on the field.
