Reports prior to last week suggested that the upcoming mid range phones from Google could go on to be named as the Pixel 3 Lite and the Pixel 3 XL Lite, however, now, a report coming in from last week has made a suggestion that the phones which are to be revealed may actually debut as the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL. And now, a fresh report coming in from 9 to 5 Google has actually given us more of a detail as to what we can expect from these devices, talking about the specs side of things.
The new report builds upon the previous ones that have surfaced in recent months or so. The new leak regarding the Pixel 3a suggests that the phone might come equipped with a 5.6-inch display, while on the other hand, its larger sibling is said to come with a 6-inch display. Many have now also come to expect that these phones are to come in only two color options – Clearly white and Just Black. Reports have further suggested that Google will also end up selling a third color variant, in an attempt to sell more units.
Talking about the design of both the phones, they are expected to feature with an 18:9 aspect ratio screens, along with a dual-tone rear panel, coming with a single rear camera along with a fingerprint scanner. Both the phones are also expected to feature with the Active Edge squeezable sides that both the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL phones are equipped with. Both the mid-range Pixel phones are also expected to feature with 64 gigs of internal storage, along with eSIM support and Titan M security chip.
Like mentioned above, the Pixel 3a is set to come with a 5.6-inch OLED panel coming with a full HD+ resolution of 2200 x 1080 pixels. The phone will receive its power from the Snapdragon 670 chipset, while 4 gigs of RAM will accompany this. As far as photography is concerned, the Pixel 3a will feature with a rear-facing camera of 8MP while the front camera will be a 12MP one. There will feature a 3000mAh battery to keep the lights running.
Unfortunately enough though, the report does not talk much about the Pixel 3a XL. There is all the possibility in the world that the Pixel 3a XL too will feature specs being similar to the Pixel 3a, while the only difference between the two being the larger 6-inch display that the Pixel 3a XL will feature with, along with the bigger battery too.
