Search engine giant Google has gone on to unveil its upcoming smartphones in the Google Pixel 6 as well as the Google Pixel 6 Pro – going on to give us the very first look at both the devices, as well as setting up expectations. The phones will officially be launched in fall of this year.
While the Pixel 6 series will indeed go on sale in fall this year in select countries, the phone won’t actually be available for purchase in one of the biggest smartphone markets all across the globe in the Indian smartphone market. Google has gone on to release reveal a list of markets where the upcoming smartphones will be made available for purchase – and India isn’t on that list.
This though doesn’t actually come as too big a surprise when you consider the fact that Google has not been launching its main Pixel series smartphones in the Indian market for a couple of yeas now. Neither of the Pixel 4 nor the Pixel 5 series were made available in the country. However, the cheaper variant in the Pixel 4a was in fact made available within the country.
As per the list revealed by Google, the Pixel 6 series smartphones will be available in eight countries : Australia, Canada, France, Japan, Taiwan, the US and the UK. However, it is rather likely that it will expand to more regions later on. For now, while the markets are not exactly known, both the pricing as well as the availability details remain under the wraps.
Google also hasn’t yet revealed the full specifications of these new phones however, the brand has in fact confirmed some of the key details. The Pixel 6 will make way with a six inch display offering a 90Hz refresh rate while the Pro will feature with a 6.7-inch QHD+ display offering a 120Hz refresh rate.
