The Sony Playstation 5 is the company’s latest flagship gaming console, and it goes on sale next month. Just last weekend, we saw a hand on video of the console along with several minutes of game play footage from Japan. Sony proceeded on to release a teardown video that goes on to show the internals of the gaming console.

The seven minute long video proceeds on to show and confirm how insanely big the Playstation 5 actually is. The console which happens to be a clad in white on both the sides features with a USB-C port as well as a USB Type A port in front while the back hosts two USB 3.0 ports, a LAN port, the HDMI out port, and the power input port.

The Playstation 5 happens to be a very powerful console, and in order to keep it cool, the company has integrated air vents both on the front as well as the back. The video also goes on to show that the circular base that the console happens to sit on needs to be screwed on if indeed you intend to place the console in a vertical position. In landscape mode, it clips on to the body with the aid of a clamp. Compared to both the Xbox Series S as well as the Xbox Series C that can stand and lay on their respective sides without the aid of a stand, the Playstation 5 seems a bit too extra.

The teardown also shows that it is in fact easy to take off those white plates on the sides of the console. The requirement for such is a bit of unclamping at the sides. When removed, you are greeted with a rather huge cooling fan that happens to extend to both the sides. There also happens to be a plate which can be removed so as to reveal a PCle 4.0 SSD slot for the sake of storage expansion.
