OnePlus went on to release its very first mid-range device four years back in 2015 in the OnePlus X. Now, it looks like the company is set to follow up with yet another mid-ranger – which would be the company’s second.

Recent renders have suggested that OnePlus is indeed looking to launch a much more budget focused device in the near future – which might be called the “OnePlus 8.” It is indicated that the device measures in at 159.2 x 74 x 8.6mm and also goes on to share a lot with the earlier galaxy S11 renders that too have come to light – in particular a much similar camera housing along with a center punch-hole cutout.

As far as the camera housing goes – it appears to be two cameras – and if indeed the device will be anything like other mid-range competitors in the iPhone 11 and the Galaxy S10e, then this device from OnePlus too will introduce a normal/ultra-wide pairing.

As far as the case for other details go, it has been suggested that the OnePlus 8 Lite will feature with a USB-C right at the bottom, along with volume buttons on the left hand side, while the right will be occupied by a power button as well as an alert slider. Not only is a 3.5mm headphone jack quite clearly not on show, but the same is the case for a physical fingerprint scanner which suggests that OnePlus might be going down the route of an In-display fingerprint scanner (as well as an OLED screen).

Unfortunately enough for the time being, there is no word for other details and so we’ll need to wait for more leaks or an official reveal by the Chinese manufacturer to familiarize ourselves with the device in a much better way. In any case though, one would have to imagine that OnePlus will introduce its upcoming mid-range device below the $599 price tag that the OnePlus 7T brings with it.
