When it comes to super fast charging and that to at an affordable price, arguably the top name in that category has been the Chinese manufacturers OPPO who have showed the capability of there charging system in recent times which has impressed a lot of consumers. The company’s current SuperVOOC 2.0 65W fast charging is currently the fastest charging technology which is available for purchase in the marked at the moment. The Chinese brand is also looking to break its own records yet again and we might see this happen next year.
A pretty famous leaker in the smartphone world has made a post on Weibo in which he has revealed that Oppoare in the works of developing the SuperVOOC 3.0 with an 80W power rating and we might get our hands on this technology next year.
The current SuperVOOC 2.0 is only available on a few Oppo devices these are,Find X2, Reno Ace, Realme X50 Pro amongst others. The said phones are able to charge up completely in under 30 minutes so the 80W power rating is expected to decrease the charge time further by a few minutes.
If the rumors are to be believed, then the charge time from 0 to 100% may drop as low as 20 minutes, which would be record time and another great achievement in the ranks by the company. This fast charging tech is expected in Oppo’s next year’s flagships such as the Find X3, Realme X60, Ace 3, etc.
However, we may yet see some healthy competition in the market as well, Lenovo is gearing up to unveil there first gaming phone and the company has confirmed support for the 90W fast charging. The launch date for the Lenovo Legion gaming phone is still not clear and Xiaomi is also rumored to unveil its 120W fast charging technology next year, and if that turns out to be true, it will be a sight to behold.
