On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that Chinese citizens will receive free visas after August 14. This announcement was made during a meeting with a 12-member Chinese delegation led by Wang Fukan.

The meeting included prominent Pakistani officials such as Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Federal Ministers Mohsin Naqvi, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ahed Cheema, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi. Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and other high-ranking officials were also present. The Chinese delegation, comprising representatives from 10 different ministries, visited Pakistan to discuss cooperation and collaboration in various sectors following the Prime Minister’s recent visit to China.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang for their special support and warmly welcomed the delegation. He assured the delegation of effective measures taken to ensure the security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan, mentioning that those involved in the Bisham incident have been arrested and will be duly punished.

The Prime Minister conveyed his optimism that the Chinese delegation’s visit would boost investment and be beneficial for Pakistan. Wang Fukan, head of the Chinese delegation, highlighted that technical cooperation would further strengthen the Pak-China strategic relationship and expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s exemplary hospitality.
