Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari announced that his party would lend support to the candidate nominated by the PML-N for the prime ministerial position but made it clear that they would refrain from joining the coalition government. During a press conference, he outlined that the PPP had opted to establish a committee to engage in discussions with other political entities to foster government formation and ensure political stability within the nation.
Bilawal emphasized that the PPP had made a firm decision not to participate directly in the federal government or vie for ministerial positions within such a framework. He underscored their commitment to averting political turmoil and perpetual crises within the country.

While expressing aspirations for Asif Ali Zardari to assume the presidency, Bilawal asserted that his party would actively nominate candidates for key constitutional positions such as the National Assembly speaker and Senate chairman.
Acknowledging the numerical advantage held by the PML-N and independents at the federal level, Bilawal pointed out that the PTI had declined engagement with the PPP for coalition talks, whereas the PML-N extended an invitation for collaboration.
Bilawal concluded by recognizing that the PPP lacked the mandate to form a government at the federal level, hence their decision not to nominate themselves for the prime ministerial role.
