During the first half of 2024, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce saw a significant influx of new companies, with a total of 3,968 Pakistani businesses joining, ranking second after Indian companies. Indian investors led the way with 7,860 new memberships, showcasing Dubai’s strong appeal to international businesses and its ability to attract direct investments from India. Following Pakistan, Egypt secured third place with 2,355 new companies registering during this period.

Syrian companies came in fourth with 1,358 new memberships, while the United Kingdom ranked fifth with 1,245 new companies. Bangladesh followed in sixth place with 1,119 new companies, and Iraq was seventh with 799 new members. Chinese companies ranked eighth, contributing 742 new memberships to the chamber.

Sudan took the ninth spot with 683 new companies, and Jordan rounded out the top ten with 674 new members joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in the first six months of 2024.

In terms of sectors, the trade and repairing services sector led the way, accounting for 41.5% of the total new members. The real estate, renting, and business services sector followed closely, making up 33.6%. The construction sector came in third at 9.4%, followed by the transport, storage, and communications sector with 8.4%. The social and personal services sector represented 6.6% of the new memberships.

Notably, the construction sector experienced the highest growth among the top five sectors, with a 23.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The transport, storage, and communication sector also showed strong growth, with a 13.6% increase, followed by the real estate, renting, and business services sector, which saw a 9.5% year-over-year growth.
