The Information Technology University (ITU) Punjab students have developed 100 Robots so far all the way through innovation to hold the everyday life problems by given ICT solutions while soon ITU will propel a team for the international Robotic contest. Such activities and actions are bridging the space between academia and the industry. Founding Vice Chancellor ITU, Dr. Umar Saif said while conversation to media in the 6th Robotics Expo, Machines of The future: Robots.

Yuriy Fedkiw who is  Consular General, US Consulate Lahore speaking as Chief Guest said that youthful talent coming up with resolutions to the human problems have important economic growth possible through modernism as science and technology were playing the main role in Pakistan market.

The USA was collaborating with Pakistan in science, knowledge economy and technology through scholarships in American institutions and highly developed training in a range of technological disciplines, he said. Past this year, ITU in association with the U.S. Consulate General Lahore set up the initial Lincoln Corner in Lahore to offer information regarding the United States under one roof.

The 6th Robotics Expo exhibited 15 new Robots prototypes produced by the students of ITU under the supervision of the staff to address locally related problems of Pakistan. Chief Selector Pakistan National Team, Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mushtaq Ahmed, head coach of NCA was also there to support the work of ITU students. They uttered that Pakistani youth has a perspective to fight in the World.

Talha Rehman, who directs robotics program ITU said that the energy and enthusiasm among these students to effort for their society and to serve the nation inveterate that Pakistan has a budding for a brighter prospect of the country.

The projects showcased contained;

Rekhta, this brings Urdu word guess and transliteration to finger-tips of people. Rekhta was built by a 12-year-old tech prodigy, Muhammad Raza, who was acknowledged as Rock Star of the event

Ross – The Roboceptionist, is a robot functioning as a receptionist at Arfa Software Technology Park. He has been devoted to helping out with the people; mimic facial expressions in real time and offer directions to the public visiting Arfa Tower.

Payam can inform professionally the rescues services and relatives about the car area in case of an accident. This is a helpful tool in saving valuable human lives.

Saliré is a robot supporter that can take stairway and pass through small items from one place to another. Illumaphone, assists the people, particularly kids, with congenital amusia – tone deafness.

Vizo can be connected to any eyeglasses and perk up the interface by displaying important information right in front of your eye.

Rahbar provides real-time info concerning the location and arrival times of public transport, above all shuttles of metro buses.

The CEOs and representatives from different companies, top journalists, the faculty and rectors of many impressive universities counting NUST, FAST and LUMS attended the event.
