Advanced education Department (HED) Punjab has chosen to reduce the syllabus of middle for the academic year 2021. 

HED has taken this choice keeping in see the way that middle classes have continued after almost a postponement of 3 months because of the Coronavirus pandemic and the progressing academic year will range over only a half year (September to February). 

In such manner, a significant level advisory group headed by the MD Punjab Textbook Board (PTB) has been informed which will outfit the updated moderate syllabus before the HED Punjab. 

As indicated by sources, the reexamined syllabus is required to incorporate just appropriate subjects, all things considered. 

Beforehand, the Punjab government had coordinated (PTB) to reduce the syllabus of all classes up to matric for the 2021 academic year.

Subsequently, PTB had shortened the syllabus of all subjects by half. 

In a different development, both the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood, and Education Minister Punjab, Murad Raas, have as of late denied the reports which asserted that educational establishments will be closed down from 15 October after an ascent in Coronavirus cases among students and educators. 

Mahmood, while precluding the chance of closing down educational institutes, uncovered that lone 1284 students and educators out of 171,400 have tested positive for COVID-19 since the resumption of the academic process on 15 September.
