In their last Super 12 match, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by five wickets to qualify for the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup. Earlier in the day, the Netherlands stunned South Africa by defeating them by 13 runs, giving Pakistan a lifeline.
As South Africa was eliminated from the tournament, Netherlands’ win opened the door for Pakistan and Bangladesh to meet.
The Men in Green started slowly with Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam. As the Green Shirts sealed their semi-final spot with five wickets to spare, they achieved their run chase target with stuttered runs.
Later in the day, Shaheen Afridi reduced Bangladesh to 127/8. Afridi picked up four wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs against Bangladesh.

Pakistan are expected to finish second in their group, which means that they will face New Zealand in the semi-finals. Indian points in the 2022 T20 World Cup will be determined by their match against Zimbabwe. India will finish at the top if they win; if they lose, they will be second.
