Just earlier in the year, Realme launched both the Realme 3 and the Realme 3 Pro in India. The Realme 3 Pro introduced itself into the Chinese market as the Realme X Lite along with the Realme X phone which came with a notch-less display courtesy of a pop-up selfie snapper. Fans of Realme in India were eager to get their hands on the Realme X however, the CEO of the brand has now confirmed that Realme will actually be launching India’s first smartphone coming with a 64MP quad camera.

The confirmation from Realme’s CEO came courtesy of a tweet, and while it was mentioned that a phone with a 64MP camera will be launching, it wasn’t actually revealed what the phone will be called. Though it has been described as being the “new premium killer.” The mystery phone will possess Samsung’s 64MP GW1 largest 1/1.72 sensor that featured with a big Pixel size of 1.6 micron.

There has also been an image revealed to show the result of the camera. The posted image has a “64MP AI Quad Camera” watermark which just goes on to confirm that the device in question will feature with four rear-mounted camera sensors. Might It be the Realme 4 Pro or perhaps an entirely new device? Only time will tell. However, what we do know is the fact that the company will be launching the device in India before anywhere else.

As far as other details of this mysterious Realme phone are concerned, we are in the dark. The Realme 2 was announced in August of last year while the Realme 2 Pro was made official a month later in September. And so one would have to imagine that both the Realme 4 and the Realme 4 Pro too will be released around the same time.

As far as the 64MP camera smartphone is concerned, Realme is not the only company to be working on a smartphone of such sorts. Recent reports have gone on to indicate that Redmi too is working on a 64MP phone. However, there is no confirmation over the name of the device neither is it known whether it will feature with a quad camera setup. Samsung too looks to be involved in the game, as recently a tipster has claimed that the upcoming Galaxy A-series phones will also feature with a 64MP camera.
