The phone, which launched in November 2018 was running the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with a planned upgrade to Android Pie in the near future, that future is coming to this particular device now. The new MIUI 10.3.2 update rolling out brings the latest version of Android to the phone.
The new update for the Redmi Note 6 Pro is revealed to be 1.7GB in size. The changelog doesn’t actually say it brings Android Pie but the Android version changes after the update so rest assured users will get the new OS version. What the changelog says are that the system performance has been optimized and system security and stability will be improved once the new update is up and running.Moreover, the device comes packed with a 6.26-inch FHD+ LCD display with a wide notch at the top for dual selfie cameras (20MP + 2MP). There is a Snapdragon 636 processor under the hood paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. It has a 12MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the back as well as a fingerprint scanner. The Redmi Note 6 Pro packs a 4000mAh battery and charges via a MicroUSB port.
