Samsung’s most recent addition in its flagship portfolio sees the addition of the Galaxy S20, S20 Plus as well as the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The Korean manufacturer obviously has huge expectations for its latest flagship series, however, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo isn’t at all too convinced that this will indeed be the case.

As per his very own estimations, the company will manage in and around 32 million units of sales with respect to the Samsung S20 series smartphones in this year. If this does in fact turn out to be the case, then it would not at all be as many units sold as the company managed with its last year flagship series.

The analyst proceeded on to comment that the company managed to sell in and around 36 to 38 million Galaxy S10 models in the last year. He claimed that Samsung would have to pay the price of not as many a sales because there is a lack of innovation time around with respect to the design and the user experience – even though there are massive hardware upgrades.

Though considering the fact that Samsung has already introduced price cuts for its previous generation flagship series, it is likely that the company won’t suffer when revenue is taken into account. It is expected that the loss in revenue which will be witnessed by the Galaxy S20 Lineup will be made up by the previous generation models that will come with the price cut.

Interesting to note is the fact that while Ming-Chi Kuo is indeed a highly regarded analyst, the report from the analyst goes on to contradict what Counterpoint Research predicted within its report. Indeed the research firm stated that Samsung, with its Galaxy S20 series will in fact manage to outsell its predecessor.
