Schools Reopening Process To Be Gradual Punjab Govt Covid

It has been agreed for reopening schools across Punjab in phases. From September 15, schools will be opened for fifth to tenth class children. Classes for first to fourth class children will be started from January, Murad Ras said.  He also sought recommendations for reopening the school by August 25.

 Provincial Education Minister Murad Ross held an important meeting with private school owners regarding SOPs and precautionary measures to open schools.  It was decided in the meeting that the schools would be reopened in phases from September 15. In the first phase, the children of class V to X would be called while the children of class I to IV would be called to school in January.  Qazi Naeem Anjum, head of Pak Education House, said that according to the provincial education minister, half of the children would be called one day and half the next day.

 At the insistence of private school owners, the distance between students in the classroom has been reduced from six feet to three feet.  School Education has directed the private educational institutions to prepare a plan for providing schooling to the children by August 25. Chairman Serving Schools Association Mian Raza-ur-Rehman said that nothing is final.  There is space.

 The provincial education minister assured private school owners that the final decision on reopening the schools in punjab would be taken at a meeting with the federal government on September 7.
