Shoaib Akhtar, the former pace gun has criticized former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag over his comments about him making money by praising India. Shoaib, in his reply said that he has more money than Sehwag has hair on his head.
Shoaib Akhtar completely rubbished Sehwag’s claim that he praises India only to make “a quick buck”. An old video, which is circulating on social media in which former Indian opener Virender Sehwag can be seen making claims that Akhtar only flatters India because it “makes business”.
Akhtar later gave an interview to a TV, in which he said that Sehwag is a great friend of him, he made those comments in a light way that doesn’t mean anything.
In reply to his comments, the former fast bowler also took a jibe at Sehwag and said, “I mean, I have more money than he has hair on his head.”
However, the pacer is not happy with the public response, he said, “I have fans across the world, not just in India. That’s why I have the fastest growing YouTube channel. It does not mean that I’m looking to make money if I compliment them. Ramiz Raja and Rashid Latif say good things about India as well,”
“I do think that there is a factor of jealousy. I have been targeted time and again. We are already politically divided but now people want to divide cricket as well,”
Praising some cricketers and highlighting the qualities they possess is not something that should worry someone, cricketers do praise each other a lot off the field. Shoaib Akhtar had been criticized repeatedly for his flattering remarks for India in the past as well.
