It has been revealed on a country-wide poll, which was conducted by the International Republican Institute’s (IRI) Center for Insights in Survey Research, the survey in turn shows that a total of 57 percent Pakistanis believe that the Prime Minister is doing a great job in running the country.In addition to the 57% of the respondents who were happy with PM Imran Khan’s performance so far, around 56%also approve of the government’s policies that have been put in place up till now.

Furthermore, the survey results show us strong approval ratings for the current government. It has also shown us that the people of Pakistan have confidence in the new governmentand that they can bring Pakistan out of their current economic and financial crisis. The respondents in turn alsoexpressed their concern over the economy also.So all in all, about 17% of the peopleinvolved in the survey believe that the PrimeMinister is doing a ‘very good job’, 40% believe that he is doing a ‘good job’ while a a total of 56 percent people approve of the new government.

Moving on 40% of the respondents also stated that they are willing to give the new governmentanother one or two years to the government to start delivering on their promises. The survey also suggested that the government’s overall performance will be judged mostly on their ability to counterthe current economic concerns, which the country are facing.Moving on another question asked in the survey was, that what is the biggest problem that the country faces, in response, 39% of the respondents stated that inflation is the most important problem in Pakistan. 18% identified poverty while 15% deemed unemployment as the most important problem that the new government should straighten up.

In addition around 77 % of the people involved who rangedfrom ages of 18 to 35 deemed the lack of jobs beingprovided as the biggest challenge faced by the youngsters of Pakistan.In terms of the confidence in election results which were revealed in the previous year, 84 percent of participants believe that the results werevery accurate which was 46%andfor those who chose somewhat accurate that percentage was 38%. So in total the peopleinvolved in the overall survey amounted to 3,991 respondents aged 18 or above.
