The launch of the next generation gaming console from Sony is just around the corner and the company says that it has already seen “very considerable” demand for the new Ps5 through pre orders as per the company’s gaming chief.

In accordance with a report coming in from Reuters, Sony has already pre sold a rather larger number of the Ps5 consoles in just 12 hours. This particular figure in fact is apparently equal to the entire 12 week sale of its predecessor in the PS4 – as stated by the company’s CEOZ in Jim Ryan. He further proceeded on to add that “The demand as expressed by the level of pre-orders has been very, very considerable.”

At this current moment in time, Sony has already sold more than 100 million units of the PS4 all across the globe and is seeking to convince its entire userbase so as to upgrade to the newer generation of hardware to play popular new titles. The new console will also go on and enable next generation graphics, with improvements coming in on sound, and feedback as well via the new controller.

The launch of the Sony Ps5 arrives amid the whole coronavirus pandemic still in an ongoing stage. The pandemic has in fact lent a helping hand to the gaming industry as a whole, however, has gone on to disrupt retail networks, game development and also manufacturing supply chains worldwide. In accordance with what the CEO Ryan has had to say : “It may well be that not everybody who want to buy a Ps5 on launch day will be able to find one.” Following such a statement, it is clear that Sony is indeed massive demand for its console, however, the CEO added that the company is working as hard as it ever can so as to ensure that all the demand is met with.
